Anyone know who made this one? It seems pretty sharp, which is the main point, but I'm a nerd and I like to know as much info about a lens as possible.

, Tokina and Ricoh were thrown out as possible manufacturers of these store branded names, such as Sears or Montgomery Wards.

I had one with s/n 52525. It appears that many of them were made. I wouldn't be suprised if it was made by Asahi Pentax, but I've never found anything about that. I think that mine had fewer things written on the front plate, but I can't find any photos of it.

yeah, I saw those threads before I posted, but they didn't have anything conclusive. Either Tokina or Ricoh would make it a decent lens though.

I've seen mentioned that it's possibly made by Cosina or even Mamiya.
