As this was shot handheld and there was not too much light I think it was 2.8 or 4, 5.6 maximum. Developed in LR, standard settings and resize sharpening in Photoshop.

I think I'm going to stick with Nex-5n for now...
It is good enough for my purpose...which is for hiking and travel...

However, If Sony or any other company comes up with FF and IBIS camera of this caliber, I'll definitely buy it....

Does the Contax G with converter manual focus feel as good as a Contax C/Y lens? I really like how smooth and solid manual focus is on the Contax C/Y and wondering if the converter gives the same feel.

Also, any Contax C/Y lenses that really sing on the NEX-5n? I need something wide and something tele. I don't know about normal lenses right now, might wait a bit.

I have been looking at the Contax G and almost pulled the trigger on the 28/90 but not sure yet. Wondering what others thought about focusing with the converter.

Is the optics practically the same between C/Y and G? The only difference is size and price, right?

Thanks,
Chris

Well, you can't buy a new lens without doing a brick wall shot.

But seriously, thanks for those of you who advised me to get the ZM 35/2.8. Its met all my expectations.

And I'm finding that the sensor in the 5N does just as good if not a better job as my Pentax K5 of holding detail in the highlights and shadows, which I find to be remarkable in such a compact body.

Picked up an NEX5 recently. The 16mm kit lens didn't really tickle my fancy, so I ordered an adaptor to try some Leica lenses. The adapter just arrived today, and I just did some quick first shots, and Im already impressed at how clean the higher ISO's are compared to my M8...The images look great.

The lens I used was an M mount Voigtlander Color-Skopar 35mm f/2.5

I'll take some better out door shots tomorrow, and I'll also try my Zeiss ZM 50/2 Planar.

HI Najibs,

would be great to see some shots where we can see the corners on that CV 35. They do smear some on the first gen sensor.

something with detail and in focus in the corners and edges.

Here's a full-sized 5N photo I took last week with the Skopar 35mm f/2.5, shot at f/8. Corners are very sharp

Paul....that lens I am very curious about with the NEX-5N. Do you get infinity? Is there anything special that you need to do to use this lens on the NEX-5N? Are you using a converted Canon one or are you using a Minolta - E mount adapter?
