Thank you.All I can say is: the larger the format the better IQ it qives.In short - larger format photograph taken with good quality lens and treated the same way during PP will render a final picture with greater "plasticity" (clarity+threedimensionality) ,compared to smaller.I like to use this word as it express exactly what I see when I compare my APS-C,FF and SMF pictures.So,I prefer FF over APS-C and SMF over FF,but each format has it's own merits and situations where it serves best.
As for a6700 - I don't think I'll get it.A6600 that I got now seems to suit my APS-C needs perfectly.Also I don't think that the new APS-C sensor will be a breakthrough technology.

Is there an advantage to buying an a6400 (24meg) if i already own a7RIII (Crop mode 18meg)

The difference between 18meg and 24 meg in APS-C format is not discernible in the real life photography.
