I shot it with my a6000, it's not modified, but is the camera I use for all astro shots... The lens was the Samyang 135mm f/2...which is a fantastic lens, esp for wide field astro. Shot it at f2.8. I edit in DXO photo lab 4 and then export the processed dng to Photo Shop

Very nice Cathy. What Ken’s or telescope did you use?
FINALLY!! A clear night!!! Clearish anyway lolol. My trusty a6000 and it's telescope had a chance to get out for a bit!!! No clouds but alot of moisture was in the air, so a little less sharp that I like
I normal limit myself to traditional post-processing but I got a good deal on ON1 over the holidays and have been playing around with its effects, especially textures. I took this photo last night, catching the pigeons as they flew between the steeples, and then messed with it. MS Optics Apoqualia 28mm/f2 on Sony NEX-6
Love it I enjoy playing with a variety of software.. ON1 is fun!!!

My Favourite phase of the moon, as well as my favourite spot on the moon. And again my little a6000 is a stellar performer!!! And more sunspots The surface texture on the sun, is not camera noise, but surface granulations of the sun.
Our Daytime Moon today .. I love seeing the moon in a blue sky Shot with my a6000 on my Celestron telescope. The sun was pretty bright directly opposite the moon about 4pm today
