I am thinking about this lens myself and look forward to seeing your images.
Be well soon!! Take care

Thank you Cathy!
This zoom is really outstanding (lens profile included).I have compared it an hour ago wih some very sharp APS-C primes like Sigma DC DN trio,i.e. Sigma 16/1.4,30/1.4 and 56/1.4 and they are almost on par. The only difference to the trained eye with a very long experience is that Sigma primes are only a very tiny bit sharper overall. No wonder in case of very good primes versus excellent zoom. This difference is not to be spotted without carefull pixel peeping and has no impact on the real life pictures.
Two weeks ago I shot the Pleiades, an open star cluster I love, with my new Samyang 85mm.They sparkle like blue diamonds in the sky when it's clear. Last night I was able to shoot them again, with my Sony 70-350mm G OSS. The blue haze is the nebulosity around them,. And now it's cloudy again!
Finally a clear night I see the Pleiades, the Hyades, Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, a hint of Orion's belt and shield, Rigel and a wee bit of Perseus and Taurus. I am really liking my a6000 and a6500 for both astrophotograpy and imaging. I have the a6000 solely used on my telescope and it is doing a fine job. Also I am REALLY liking the Sigma 16mm I used here

Tonight's moon 🙂 Single shot with my 6se telescope and my A6000. Processed with DXO, then PS and converted to BW. I almost missed it.. saw it as I was coming out of the grocery store.. fastest tossing of stuff into the car and driving home ever lol. Got it JUST before the trees were in the way 🙂
