ulrikft2 - that wouldn't happen to be jpg from the camera? I need to shoot some tomorrow with a 60 year old lens that's a bit hazy. I think b&w would be great for it.

That's after photoshop BW + resizing + sharpening I'm afraid.
Thanks guys! I think the 35/1.2 v2 is a quite a decent lens.
Received the Nex5n yesterday, received the Nikon to Nex adapter today, so here are a couple of shots taken with a Nikon 50 1.4 which my father purchased back in the early 70's
Got my 5N today, finally, with the 18-55 kit.
Unfortunately, my Minolta adapter *isn't* here, so my 24 f28 and 58 f14 sit shelved for now.
Also, I have a 600mm f/5.6 coming in from KEH - this should be interesting
Overall not a bad little camera, but I think Sony hasn't realized the potential they have with the touch screen - IE, I'd love to be able to customize a few banks of custom settings and have them show up as clickable icons on the home screen, etc.
Thanks, Gary! The colours from the C3 are indeed outstanding, as is the amount of detail. It shows IMHO how much the 5D II sensor has aged relative to state-of-the-art in 3 years, and how far behind are the times when Sony images lagged behind Canikon.
This only raises my anticipation of the NEX 7, which could well be good enough for me to ditch my larger system without having to go Leica.
A few pictures from my first try with a Manual lens on my Nex 5.
C/Y 100/2 Planar.
Focus Peaking actually works quite well.
The lens is heavy but after a while it's not a problem, although it's not really pocketable any longer.. :-)
ISO 6400 from a NEX-5N body, Nikon 50mm f/1.2 at f/2. SOOC JPEG, as Adobe doesn't yet support the 5N RAW files. Seems like this could be a fun combo for low light shooting.
Yeah, that was my reaction too. I'm kind of afraid to do a a/b comparison with by D3s...
What you can't tell from the shot is how dark it is in our house, even during the day. My wife likes it that way. I sometimes refer to her as "Batwoman".
