This is a spur of the moment snap of my ex as we were hanging in Starbucks. I liked the way the setting sun was slanting in through the windows. Shot with an 18-105 f/4.

Like other EF lenses, MF is much faster than AF. The accuracy isn't too bad, but it does hunt and and the speed is just not worth the trouble. The IS/VC works great and makes stabilizing this combo much easier. This was the first time out with it and I'm impressed with the IQ, but this definitely isn't going to do BIF! The results are better than with my 7D so I'm tempted to upgrade that or switch to A-mount with an A77II.
If you are serious about the Tamron, I'd recommend renting one first. The results are very good but the handling is tricky. I had to cradle the lens to balance the weight in my left hand and use my thumb to adjust the focus ring. ...Show more →
Thanks for the info. I took your advice and used the shop's rental for a test run. Very nice lens. I decided to get the one in the Canon mount they had in stock. Though I'd like to use the with my A6000, I also decided I'd rather have the snappy AF available with my Canon since the lens is so cumbersome to manual focus when hand-held. I'll just keep the Tamron on the Canon body and use my A6000 for everything else.
I was going to try it out today with the sparrows we have flitting around in our forsythias and mock orange bush but it's just too darn cold.
I'm also thinking of trying out one of the soon to be released Canon T6i/s bodies with their new 24MP sensor and touchscreen specifically for use with the Tamron.
This isn't a clever shot, but I feel it displays some of the capability of this camera. A 66.7% crop of an otherwise untouched photo. Shot with the 16-50mm kit lens at 1/30s f7.1 ISO-3200. 35mm focal length.

I'm still amazed at this little camera and the sport shots I can capture with it. I've read were the AF is slow and I have seen videos that stated you will only get 2-3 in focus shots from the 11fps burst. I don't believe it or them. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Here are few from the past few games I've covered.

Dragion- what vintage is a 90MM Sigma Macro ?
I'm unsure when it was made...sometime in the early 1990's.
Before the Sigma 105mm Macro was released.
I purchased it used from a pro photographer on Craigslist.
He misplaced the Life-size adapter, so I pretty much got the lens for a steal of $90 in mint condition.
Box & manual included.
I finally found a seller on eBay selling the adapter for $25, so I jumped on it...been looking for one for almost a year.
