This is the re-worked pre AI multicoated version, which sacrifices some macro prowess for superior infiinty performance. About 81,000 made. About 70USD or less.
coverage looks surprisingly good. how do you like working with the aperture limitations? i've been curious to try this lens and the 18mm.
here's an old shot with the rokkor MC PG 50/1.4 that i never posted because i liked another similar one better. lately this shot has been growing on me though. shot wide open at iso 3200 for the "film look": http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6083/6047146348_4929cde31e_b.jpg

that shot of yours yours very familiar, maybe it is one of the other versions i am thinking of that i've seen from you
the no aperture limitation is really only a problem on for objects further away, as they appear soft, i've been wanting to take the aperture blades out of the 110 camera and stick them inside the lens cap i converted to the adapter as well, but i've been lazy and haven't done that.
here is an image with something further away
and the lens on the nex3
sounds like a good idea, i suspect the corners will probably never be great for landscape even stopped down given the image circle.
I have no affiliation with seller....very nice prize in there
oooh, good price on that pen f 42/1.2. maybe i need a backup... i'm curious about the contax g 28/2.8 as well. i like the focal length better than my 35/2, which i don't really use at f/2 anyway.

Just a quick stroll around downtown Vancouver. I think I need something wider than a 35mm. Any suggestions on a 35mm FF equivalent? Something around 300-500'ish?/quote]
I have the Pentax 110 24mm and a Pentax 110 body, but I haven't the slightest idea on how the aperture is controlled by the camera. As far as I can tell, the aperture also is square-ish? I have removed the mount and was hoping to cannibalize the aperture as well. I'm not sure if that's possible, but alas, I too suffer from laziness.
Your hibiscus (?) is a little worse for wear but a good shot with nice background blur. I've used this lens a few times on m4/3 to good effect and look forward to usign on Nex soon.
Mike, the first shot and the wood really work for me, but the last two are ruined a little by sloppy framing. If you crop that little sprout out at the top of the last shot, it would be better. I guess you can't crop the missing piece of hose back in though
Thanks for the feedback. Most of these were snaps taken hand held, very unusual for me, so I had to straighten them and didn't notice some of the detail including that bright little intruder.
Nice set, Mike! I really like 1 & 2, and your last. 3 & 4 look like results I would get if I pushed saturation and vibrance too far, but of course maybe your subjects were like that. I would be interested to hear what PP you do on the NEX C3 shots.
