I own the Leica M9 with many good and new Leica glass and got the NEX-5 to use it with the smaller Leica lenses like 28mm/2.8.
Here is my star of these
@cth55, interesting framing, how did you do it? philber wrote:
Yes, lovely shots, dierk! Do you get no colour shift with the 28?
yes, I do
here are test shots (!!) to show the color edges:
Leitz Elmarit-M 28mm f2.8 ASPH (very small and only 170 g light)
Dierk, denoir reports that there is NO colour shift on his new NEX C3, even with a Zeiss ZM 18mm, which gives massive colour shift on my NEX 5. So give up too soon...

The 50Lux is wonderful but the left and right borders, and the corners, don't reach decent levels until f/8 (so it's a good thing we often don't need the corners sharp). The FA31 is just a plain very good trustworthy working horse with excellent contrast, micro-contrast and resolution. Some LoCA but wth, it works for about everything.
now I think i know why they quietly rave about this lens along with the 50/2 over at the RFF secret sub-forums.
I also grabbed a 105/2.5 RF from the same seller, which is nice, but not quite so unique.
the 5cm is expensive in LTM, and needs a very special helicoid adapter for the cheaper nikon S mount (which I did not realise at first, naturally). Had to send to Venezuela.
Again, this is putting unreasonable strain on the poor lens and a very good reason why a real macro lens is preferable to using tubes. Still, tubes are a fun and cheap way of doing closeups.
