Cool lens, uhoh7. Is it me, or does it have a pretty severe sharpness falloff at the extreme edges in that f8 shot?
It may--we'll have to get a really good test shot. In the old lens tests it was sharper on the edges than most pens were in the center at f/8. I see my shutter was at 1250, so it's also possible I'm wrong on the aperture.
The nex will use the whole lens, just about, so you would think softer edges even more likely. However

Yeah, judging by the cat shot, it could just be extreme field curvature. Nice shots.
judging from the early bokeh shot and the fact that all the other pen f's i've shot with have it, that wouldn't surprise me. with the normal lenses the field curvature is negligible at infinity though. it only shows up at closer focus distances and large apertures.

Burningheart, how do you control exposure with your EF 15?
Would you believe Point and Shoot. I have found my NEX has been very dependable on getting correct exposure with the EF 15 and EF 17-40.
The aperture set is preset on my 5D MKII before mounting on the NEX. I let the camera determine the shutter speed. When I first got it I used the histogram alot but found most shots came out with a good histogram. If needed I would under/overexpose the shot but that seems to be the exception not the rule.
With the EF 15 and EF 17-40 I usually just shoot and do minor tweaks with Photoshp or Capture One. With the train shot all I did was a small Levels adjustment in photoshop.

Robert - where the heck have you been? Good to see you back. Nice shot from Heritage Park BTW!
