@Heinz: Maybe I shouldn't point them out if you don't see them.
I mean the geometrical patterns in the bokeh (overlapping hexagons). If you would have shot the lens wide open, it would have been circles, but in your shots you see the hexagonal aperture shape in the bokeh. It looks very unnatural to me.
Almost all older 50-60mm macro lenses have 6 aperture blades. My Canon FD 50/3.5 macro does too. Only some of the AF 50-60mm macros and the Zeiss 50/2 MP have 7 or more.

Homage to Morfeus! NEX 5 with Leica 90mm f:2.0
Thank you Philippe! And congratulations for your new lens, this is a very very nice image! Did you realize that I posted a "Homage to Philber" a while ago in the Leica M Thread?
Sorry, no, I was not aware of it...
And I have not decided to buy this lens yet. It is large and heavy, and does not seem terribly sharp. But lots of details, and gentle, lovely colours...

not bad for crutches, hehe
the last I just shot from the car window. My knee is doing, well, unbelievable really. Knock on wood, the PTs have never seen an ACL look so good so soon. Off crutches on the 27th. Shoot wedding on 30th
An old Leica M Summicron f:2.0. I can get it for €450, but I am leaning against it. It is large and heavy, which is not such a good idea for a NEX system, and sharpness is not exactly its middle name. Though colours and detail are just wonderful. I am bidding on a Contax G 90mm, which is smaller and lighter, and has a great reputation. It may be tricky focusing it with the ring located on the adapter. I will see, providing I win, of course.
I don't know if they are smaller, but my Elmar 90/4 and Elmarit 90/2.8 are not very big, though the 90/4 is thin and long. Both are tack sharp. I have mentioned it before, you most likely did not see it, but I can borrow you the 90/4 for a week or two to try it out (no intention to sell it).
Yes, I did, Heinz, and thank you very much for it. But, in the interim, the auction for the 90mm Contax G closed, and I won, for 175€. For that amount, I don't think I can go terribly wrong. The lens has a great reputation, I already have the adapter, and I can pick it up in the Paris region. But thanks again!
Philber, I actually think the focus ring location on the G adapter works well on NEX, especially when shooting at waist/chest level. It's the slightly gritty and sloppy feel of the ring that is annoying, but you'll get used to it. I can't believe that someone isn't taking on the challenge of making a higher end, streamlined NEX-G adapter.

If you are unhappy with the G I'll take it without asking questions . Congratulations, thats a great lens.
Thanks, Heinz! I will collect tomorrow late afternoon, and let you know. At least that will let me get some value out of my NEX/G adapter, after the twin fiasco of the 21 and 28.

Mind to share what problems you had with the 21, Philippe?
