Coloured; great series on Timor! Love the first and the last shot of the children.

One Dutch cliché.

Very nice! These are the first photos I've seen with that lens that looked "Zeissy" to me. Very, very nice.

Thanks very much, legaltrouble. I'm enjoying that lens very much in the city.

Great light an composition, Ken!
Too many that I can comment on each, Mike, but my faves are 4,5 and especially 8 and 9. Great work!
Love your cliché, Michiel, but you already knew that, right?

Mike, I love the sculpture shots as well, but I have one (hopefully minor) nit that is bugging me on the pulled out shot. There's a bright strip of the window well on the left hand side that is really distracting me (pulls my eye out of the shot).

Again, great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

All: so many great images! I love stalking this thread (I really should try and contribute).

Thanks Daniel,
I think you're right. In fact I have several alternative shots that include that whole alcove which was brightly lit. It was way too distracting so they didn't make the cut. I didn't notice this sliver but if I were printing I'd end up cropping to get rid of it.

We recently had a 'late Christmas' with some of our family, here are a few photos of my baby niece taken with the 5N + Nokton 40. These were shot in terrible light, ISO1600 pushed a stop. Flickr actually amplified the noise, otherwise I'm happy how they turned out.

First two are f2.0, last is f1.4... IMO, portraits are where it works best at/near max aperture.

Also, someone once asked me if this lens shows stars in the highlights at f2.8... you can just make them out in the Christmas lights at F2.0... so, the answer would be yes.
