Fantastic BW shots from Freaklikeme & Taran!
Thanks, Alan. I like the dog. I feel like I’m about to get licked when I look at it.
I picked up a CZY 300/4 from a local seller. I wanted a smaller, light, cheap 300 for the NEX 7 I could stick on a monopod and go, and this certainly fits the bill. Color’s not all that great and CA is probably the worst I’ve seen from a Zeiss lens, but it’s a good B&W lens- probably because it’s one of the lower contrast Zeiss lens I’ve shot with. These are wide open.
Jonrock - I'll see your rose (is it me or is the red channel detail a little blown out?), and raise you some carrots ;-)
Olympus 50/1.8 & Canon FDn 35/2:
I like your pano, I'd consider maybe cropping some of the right side out and/or just a little tighter crop. The hill on the left has a lot of interesting detail going on.
@Emacs, that fisheye is outta control! Great shots!!
Weather was nice in the DC area last weekend, so a friend and I decided to drive up to Baltimore to shoot at the Inner Harbor. I never get bored of photographing the boats and buildings here. Here's one made with a Nex 5 and Contax G 35mm f2 planar:
