Sony Nex 6 with the Bower 85 1.4 for canon mount. I have been a 'canon' guy for 15 years, and am really enjoying shooting with this little guy. Really making photography fun again.
Thank you for the comment. I had to use the only model available! I am planning on shooting a portrait session with it tomorrow, I will post something from that as well. I have been really interested if the nex system would be able to perform in a 'professional' environment. I think it just might be able to do it. For the 'noise', I haven't put the camera through any formal tests. For me, it looks pretty dang good. This image may have been a result of my post work on it. I mainly shoot weddings and portrait work, and I can see myself using 2 Nex 6's next season. It is so nice not having to deal with the weight. I feel liberated. Still have some more informal shooting to do to officially declare it my 'working' camera, but so far, things are looking good.
For fun, I tried the HDR function on the NEX-7 to tame shadows and highlights. I'd used the same function on the RX100 with nice results, but never tried it before on the NEX-7. Seemed to work nicely. This was with the 18-55 kit lens
Jim, absolutely love that barbed wire shot. Incredible! Very, very artistic, and I mean that in a good way. As promised, a couple of images from an 'official' photo session with the Nex 6. First image I used a Canon 35 f/2, the second image was the 16-50 kit lens. I used a pocket wizard to fire an off camera flash, I use the old Vivitars so I can be in full control. I am really impressed.
A few more from the Nex 6 yesterday. Really great work in this thread! This thread on FM was one of the main reasons I chose the Sony system over the Fuji. It really shows what this little camera can do.
