alan_m, I like #2 and #3. #2 might be too crisp for my taste but I like the composition and color. #3 has wonderful color.
Thanks - the tap took me maybe 100 shots to catch a good drip, the bridge shot was carefully set up at sundown (well, with a wall for tripod), but those leaves that everyone likes were literally underfoot as we sheltered from the sun, barely conscious, in 39 degrees C (102.2 F) and my wife said "those leaves are nice, take a shot" so I just pointed down & clicked! No pp to speak of.
A year-old shot I re-discovered of Alvaro Siza's Portuguese National Pavilion, Lisbon - looks a bit artificial, like it came out of an architectural rendering package! Kit zoom, 24mm f8: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8042/7945934802_c9834ff108_h.jpg

I think I invented it. I misread Corposant's post about liquidating gear and attributed it to you. Sorry!!
You troublemaker you!
By the way Michelle, we bailed on the move to Durango. The more we looked at it, the more we found that we just didn't care for, not the least of which was the job stability was feeling questionable. Instead we're moving to the bay area out here, which we love and spend a lot of time at.

Jacob, you also have the CV 15, no? Are you finding you prefer that over the Sigma? I have both as well, and I find I'm using the Sigma more. The CV has a more distinctive look that I like (the color shift doesn't bother me), while the Sigma is more vanilla, but I like that the Sigma takes the same filters as some of my Contax G lenses, while my LTM CV 15 doesn't take filters at all. Having a wide-angle AF lens has also proven really handy with a one-year-old scampering around.
Al, yes I have the CV 15 and I decided I prefer it for several reasons, for example its size and the fact that I can sort of rig 39mm filters on it, which I use on my other CV lenses.
If the Sony 10-18 turns out to be a winner I will likely go that route, in which case I'll be selling the CV15 as well as my 35/2.5 (probably) and just carry the 10-18 + Nokton 40 (or possibly Sony 35/1.8 but I really love the Nokton).
I'm sure the nocti might be nicer but the nokton is a very very good lens. Sharp WO? As you know 1.1 is never going to resolve like f/2 or esp f/4---but it does so pretty well. The oof rendering is smooth. It's popping at 2.8 and very sharp f/4-f/8.

D- love the tunnel shot, but I think your tree stump is begging for a B&W conversion.
thanks, a b&w conversion was my original intent, but my first attempt destroyed all the tonal variations. i'll have to try again playing with the color mixer more.
