Thanks for posting CV 35 1.4 shots coloured, I am looking into this lens as a 50mm standard and I have been looking for good samples. Seems like a nice compact setup for NEX, and it has a nice focusing tab.
I had been getting great results with my cheapie fujian 35mm, but I may need a non toy lens in that range that is also small. cheers
I really like that second duck shot sebboh. Has a nice sense of motion. The only change I'd make (by cloning it out) is the bokeh/circle above the ducks head is somewhat distracting.

thanks!
i was aiming for a busy distracting background (i think i even bumped up the clarity slider a tad), otherwise i would have just shot these at f/2 or with a different lens. i always feel like bokeh business gives a greater sense of motion/tension. of course it also can look super ugly at the same time.
I found this gem of a place on my way home. Welcome to Gresham, WI. I need to shoot the inside as well. These are with the Sigma 30 on the NEX-7. B&W converted with Silver Efex Pro 2.
Wow! You know how to make your case for the G 35, sebboh! Although straightening the tower might improve even this spectacular image IMHO.
Bob, you get to go to all these thrilling places, while I can only drag myself to London after the Games... great stuff!

i'm afraid the tower tilt is due to the perspective (camera pointing up rather than due to a non-level horizon), i couldn't straighten it in camera without making the rest of the frame horribly crooked. wasn't much room to change position either, i was standing on the ledge on the far left of this shot (which i believe i posted long ago in this thread):
i'll see if i can do some perspective correction in lightroom, but i suspect that will ruin my framing.
Another totally inspiring shot, what can I say?
Regarding the other one, I was thinking perspective correction, because, save for that, it is definitely wall-hanging material IMHO.
Another post from the woods of the Menominee Reservation. This road for two miles before reaching the river and much of it with beautiful surroundings such as this. I went for the square format here. Can't wait till autumn!
the Frogs are killer shots.
Was late to the party tonight, unfortunately, as the sun was already set. took this handheld. with 5n, 16mm pancake and the wide angle adapter. 1/60 sec, iso 400 -1250, f 3.5. its a panorama of 5 vertical shots. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7109/7792935810_02b2273675_b.jpg Link to large
Kevin, I rushed towards marina del Rey when it looked good for sunset tonight in L.A. Got ok shots with the nice sky, only had my RX100 so those pics are for another thread. Never tried the PAlos Verdes peninsula, like your shot, though, proves he 16 and WA isn't a bad mono.
