A shot of my car from today. That Sigma 30 mm is really good at details at this distance

That's quite a charming portrait of your car. You should send it to the manufacturer.

M-S-B - Nice shots. What flash set up are you using with your NEX 7? Does it have a built in Wireless or do you need to buy triggers?
-Jim

Thanks, Jim! I´m using a Yongnuo YN560 II flash with Yongnuo CTR-301P wireless set.
My NEX-5N needs a hot shoe adapter like a JJC MSA-10.
The Yongnuo is a low priced, but very powerful, well built and comfortably flash. Thinking about of buy a second exemplar.

Philber - looks like the Leica Elmar 24 holds up pretty good on the 7 - what do you think?
-Jim

The Elmar is a total delight, except of course that it is too slow (f:3.8), and too expensive. It requires CornerFix on the NEX 7, but, other than that, they mate wonderfully. Colours, detail, it is all there, and makes for fantastic walk-about kit.

Freezeiss, your B&W scenes continue to amaze and delight me (your second one is my fave).

Hummingbird, with a NEX and tele kit zoom That is such a feat that it ought to be illegal!!!!! Beyond congratulations!

Michael49, very niiiice!

Jorge, maybe your finest picture ever (your first), at least, of those I've seen. Definitely a wall-hanger! Makes me drool...

As to me, continuing my walk-about in Paris, with NEX 7 and Elmar 24...

Thanks, Philipe.. I sense ample of 3D in your 1st shot. Actually, I wanted the Elmar before I had the Biogon but it just didnt show up both new or 2nd hand, the moment a mint second hand Biogon 25 appears, I coudn't resist too long

I've been testing a summicron-m 50 v4 (same as current version) on my NEX the last day or so and I'm pretty happy with the results. Has anyone else tested this on the NEX against a Contax G 45? I find the G 45 has a slight yellow hue and very slightly sharper at f/2 but maybe not. Here are a couple of test pics (shot 2.0 and shapened with imagemagick):

I have been pretty happy with my 50 Cron v5 on the NEX - I think you'd have to look hard to find a difference in sharpness between the two. The white balance and color palette difference are not surprising (i.e. Zeiss v Leica). I had been interested in trying the Contax lenses, but honestly it seems much easier to handle and focus the Leica lenses.

I'm not sure there's anything about the 50 Cron to prefer over the more reasonably priced ZM 50/2, except for the built in hood on the Cron. In the middle of this page are a couple of comparison pix I took of both the 50 Cron and ZM 50/2:
