Pics on this page are wonderful. Not that the ones before aren't, but I just can't keep up with this thread. So kudos to ytwong (I'd love to see a larger post of that picture), to briantho (awesome flower set), to sebboh (how are you achieving this off-B&W sepia look? It's gorgeous!), to Bob (what else is new?) to Michael (also a habitual offender). Great stuff.
Now I have a question for you guys. Yesteday I tried a Summilux on my NEX 7 (awesome lens!) and a control shot of a street sign gave me what looks suspiciously like moiré. Does the 7 exhibit moiré? Does this mean it has a weak AA filter?
For reference, the pic is SOOC, except for a substantial crop. Artistic value will have to wait, I am afraid...

I read the manual and figured out the short coming for lack of button on 5N. If I set the shoot mood to the right of the wheel, then I can set central wheel to custom. that would allow me to have 5 easily accessible items (mine are IS, Autofocus, picture style, and hdr/dlo). that makes the changing of settings a lot easier.

SirJon, great shots and use of Snapseed! Do you have any neat way of transferring the images to the iPad? No raw developer I assume?
thank you. I use the camera connection kit for the iPad. This is a quick and easy way to transfer the files.
No raw developer.
Again here Nex 5n, G45 and Snapseed
Very impressive SirJon! I will look into Snapseed.
Here are 3 shots from the unexpected train station at Lille Europe. NEX 7 and Leica Elmar 24mm. It is so good that I don't leave home without it.

Thanks SirJon. I'll get one of those tomorrow!
I just read that iPad and Snapseed supports RAW files, including ARW from Sony. So there it is, a laptopless workflow. I think I'll dig out the NEX from the closet to try that.
Philippe, that is a nice train station! And I can surely recommend Snapseed, made by the wizards at Nik Software that did e.g. Silver Efex (best B/W plugin for PS). It's not Photoshop but yet very powerful, I particularly like the selective adjustment abilities. It's kind of a poor-mans layers.
One with the Minolta Rokkor 17/4 @ f/11 and the second (3 shot pano) with an M42 Zeiss Jena Biotar 58/2 @ f/8. The second was making the best of a bad position, but that was the closest I was going to come to good before the storm moved on.
Haven't had enough time with my Nex-7, but i have a feeling that i won't keep it. Controls are nice, the evf is okay but i have to use cornerfix with some lenses, pushability of the files seems to be a bit worse and it is a bit too big for may taste. We'll see.
here is a link to the 24mp file of that last shot. link
