Today was Christmas in July. I received my NEX-7 and was anxious to test it out with my new Rokkor 58/1.2. It's a drab dreary day today and not much light when I got home to test so here's some quick shots testing the camera with three lenses . . . The Rokkor 58/1.2, Contax G 45/2 and CV35/1.2 II
Bob - looking forward to hearing your comments about coming from a 5N to a 7.
Curious80 - great unique shot, well done.
SirJon - another nice one with good processing
Always amazed by the output you guys get with the NEX, it seems I dant achieved the levels I wanted.. Although heavy, I'm still more 100% with a D700 or so.
Anyways, my recent shots with NEX 5N and 25 Biogon

I like this trio and I like this camera!
Thanks for doing this test: could you share the aperture used and where you focused?

The aperture was f/7.1 for each image. Focus point was on the orange skyscraper in the background. The test was totally non-scientific but simply checking out the camera with different glass. The light sucked, it was a gray day. Camera was set to auto-ISO and I would have to check but I believe it ranged from ISO320 to 800.
In the meantime, today I did some run and gun street shooting with the camera set for manual, f/7.1, 1/250 sec, ISO1600. These were shot with the Sigma 30mm/2.8 in order to take advantage of and test autofocus. A very rudimentary but real life test for me personally to see how this camera works for me. I got the Sigma precisely for this type of simple, gritty on the move street style. Certainly, the lens has a good price point.
Alan, thanks and agree with you with the colors on the sunset shot. Nice symmetry on yours, I'm afraid of some kind of radiation getting near electrical towers like those..
