Excellent "different" flower shots, mawz and briantho.
FlyPenFly, I like the processing in your forest shots.
ytwong, what a grand entrance. Welcome!
sebboh, very powerful shadows and processing in your shot. I think the DoF is fine, despite shooting w/o. Were you aiming for more DoF, or why would you rather have it stopped down?
Here's one more from a walk the other evening. C3 + Sigma 30

Jaakko
i was aiming for a gentle roll off of focus (well mostly i was just experimenting), but the image is so wide it looks as though everything is in focus almost. i should have stopped down more because the only thing that is actually in focus is the closest tree branch, everything else is actually quite out of focus when zoomed in. not sure how it would look printed large.

Nice shots sebboh, seems like you have an excellent copy of that C/y 35 1.4. The second photo especially pops if it's wide open.
it's wide open, the lens has great central sharpness, contrast and pop wide open. i doubt i have a particularly good copy though – there are two big cleaning marks on the rear element that show up in the bokeh circles and a bunch of small cleaning marks on the front element. somebody did a poor job of disassembling it and reassembling it at some point too. it was relatively cheap though. i was actually a little worried it might have worse than normal corners, but after looking at other peoples images more closely i think it is normal.
Lots of nice shots. @Sebboh, your panos are always nice, quite amazed at the amount of patience you guys have for taking many shots and stitching. @Briantho, nice smooth bokeh on those macros. and @ytwong welcome to the alt forum, very interesting post processing, i can't figure out what you did, but i kind of like it (especially the first pic).
Leica 35/2.5 Summarit on the NEX-5N is a nice combo, but not perfect. There is some corner smearing, probably due to curvature of field induced by the sensor filter.
Martin, very nice with the Summarit. Do you get any color shift with it on the 5N? By any chance, have you compared it directly with the CV 35/2.5? I own that lens and like it quite a bit... the corners are not perfect, but still 'very good' IMO.

I haven't noticed any color shift, but probably there is some. I'd not worry at all about that if you don't shoot very evenly lit, white surfaces. Even the ZF 35/2 gave some magenta shift on the D700, mind you.
The common corner issues with smearing is probably only curvature of field because of the thickness of the sensor filter, and thus it will disappear almost completely with stopping down. From everything I've seen of the CV 35/2.5, it should be a great lens. The only reason I got the Summarit was because of a good deal. My plan is to sell the CV 35/1.2 and the Summarit and get a Summicron ASPH instead, later on.
That said, I'd keep the CV 35/2.5 if I was you.
Edit: Hmmm, english. Why do you say "if I were you" when normal grammar says "I was"?

Thanks Martin. I have no plans to get the Summarit. I was just curious. I think if anything, I might replace the CV 35/2.5 with the Sigma 30.... but at this point, my feeling is that I'll just stay with my rangefinder lenses.
Regarding "were" and "was"... I'm no English expert but I believe "were" is correct because we're not referring to the past when we say "If I were you" (it's more like future, or even present tense - but never past). I wish I knew what this was called or how to explain it better. I'd guess most people who speak English as a first language never think about it, we just say it this way because it's familiar sounding.
