Been away for a little while and had a blast watching all the new images here. Some really lovely work here!! Too many good images to comment individually, but always a great pleasure to be back and watch what you guys have posted, thanks for sharing.

This is my first attempt at doing long exposure with the Nex-7. I am completely used to doing this kind of stuff with my X100, so I am struggling a little with the long exposure (and specially the monochrome images) post-processing since the files are so different and require such a completely different workflow. I am still trying to figure this out... The resolution on the Nex-7 is amazing, and so is the little Sigma 30 which never ceases to amaze (even when itīs a pain to manual focus). Here a six minute exposure with 18 stop ND filtration and the Sigmarit @f/11.

Thanks for watching!

@brian, no more macros k? You are gonna hurt my wallet. The rendering of those shots is beyond ridiculous and esp. like the tones on the last one, nice conversion.

@jeremywilburn. Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it would be nice to get everyone in focus, but unfortunately the background is busy at that location, I take full responsibility for that.

@photon, nice to see a 6 minute exposure here, that gives me a lot to think about, congrats on the beautiful shot and kudos for taking chances! I think anyone would be proud to have that on the wall. The movement in the flags and bucket is sublime.

Too many other good shots to mention here. Again, I thank you one and all for making this the bestest photo thread on the internets.

Photo - beautiful long exposure, perfectly executed!

Brian - Love that first one, the tones are almost haunting.

Well, too many great fifties pics, Phillip, FlyPenFly, Sebboh, Tomasg, Briantho… just too much talent.
After the little chat about the 45G canīt help but pick my Nikkor-s 55mm f1.2 and snap a couple of shots, it has been my beloved fifty for a long time, and @ f2 have managed to keep up with a lot of portrait assignments, because I find that its less than perfect behavior in many areas adds for a lot of character that I grow to appreciate.
In the other hand the 45G probably don’t have any of the problems that the nikkor s suffers, actually could be the lens that less problems shows if any, besides the center of the 21G hehehe. Leaving aside obviously the bokeh appealing and the nerdish personality (if that makes any sense).

Thanks, D. I love that rusty chain shot. Aside from being a great composition, just looking at makes me think, "Yep, that's a Summicron."

And you managed to make a bike rack interesting, so bonus points there.

That's impressive. Do you have any problems with color cast on that lens?

Nex 7 Contax G 45mm F2

Nearly pitch black bar so the focus was extremely difficult and often missed.

Maybe get a hat like Roger Cicala and modify it to take the Gigapan. Then attach a cable release and Bob's your uncle.

aferiksson, I like the cycling shots. Also, you along with others have made me realize that the kit lens deserves to be used.

Derek, excellent pano. I think this perspective is my favorite so far.

And to whomever is listening, I received my Sigma 19 today. No photos to post yet, but first impressions are... this one will replace my CV 15. The build quality sure leaves something to be desired (relatively speaking), but I'll get over it
