Following this thread for quite a while now. While you are showing me what excellent results are possible out of this little NEX cams was the main reason for me to get a NEX-7.
Now she has arrived - together with the spring.
Thanks a lot for your great inspirations and keep posting.

Great shots. Are you using the Raynox 250 with a step up ring?
@plasticmotif
Thanks!
No, I do not use a step-up ring. The Raynox DCR-250 (43mm rear thread, 49mm front filter thread) comes with a snap-on adapter where you screw in the 43mm lens. The adapter fits everything between 52mm and 67mm, also the filter hood of the Contax lenses. Quick, easy and effective.
Wow the Contax G 45mm F2 when modded takes really decent macros. I'm seeing less CA and bokeh CA than I am with almost every dedicated macro lens I've tried.
Very nice macros. A couple of months ago you were searching for a compact macro lens, weren't you? So is this the solution you settled on? Have you shared the background on the mod yet?
@ MCLMM
Thanks. Camera is NEX-7, the lens used in the first three images was the Carl Zeiss Planar 45mm (Contax mount). The first image is a 17 image stich. The last image was captured with the kit lens (18-55).
