Peire, Boris, Philber, Malkovic and rji2goleez, thank you for the wonderful comments! I have a few more of White island to post.

The place was really smelly - think sulphur and rotten eggs!

Pascal66 - welcome to the board

Rioni, Prague brings back so many memories, a fabulous city! I like #1and #3 in the first set. The second set are great, very moody.

Ok, I'll admit that I was lazy, I was using a previous Ps action that I built for Canon files. It used bicubic sharpener in the image reduction, hence the over the top sharpening. I have rebuilt the action with the NEX files in mind, tell me what you think? Are they sharp enough, or should I go further?

thanks

Andrew

I would say that the second, third, fifth and sixth shots are sharp enough, but the remaining two shots could take a little more.

not with the nex, but with my iPhone but showing off my new bag. Domke F5Xb

It fits the NEX + all 5 of my current lenses. 18-55, CV 15, G 28, 45, 90. A few random accessories are in there. Lens pen, extra caps, micro fiber, tripod mounting plate, spare cards.

Nalgene for scale. It's small!

Thanks guys! It's actually spring now with +12°C or so and the sun has been shining for for a week or two.

All spectacular, but I like the last one the most! Good to see some quality stuff with the kit zoom as well.

I was really tired after work today, but I forced myself to take a walk instead of going home. It was a good idea and I found lots and lots to shoot.

This combo of 15, 28 and 50 mm is ideal for what I want to shoot and all three lenses perform increadibly well on the 5N. I'm especially pleased with the Planar, that is super sharp from wide open and I actually like the odd angle of view.

More than 100% crop of entire image - some sharpening artefacts in there. Just an illustration of how sharp the Contax G 90 is:

First shots with my new Meyer Gorlitz Trioplan. These don't have the trademark bokeh rings, but I like how the lens renders.

Great set of pictures from the "ponts de Paris", the rendering of the stones and the water is excellent. May be a little bit overexposed?
