I believe the 15 has better corner sharpness and more color shift... maybe I should hold onto the 12 until I have the 15 in my hands.
If anyone with the 15 wants to do a simple test for color shift to compare vs. the 12, why don't we try what Douglas suggested in another thread - put a white tissue over the lens, point at the sky, meter +2 EV, and focus to infinity. Auto white balance the result using the center of the frame. Start at f4 and repeat at full stops through f11. I will do the same with the 12. (sorry this probably should have went on the 5N Wides thread)

from everything i've seen and heard the 15 is sharper with less distortion but also has more color shift then the 12. this makes sense since the 12mm is a more retrofocal design than the 15.
Whew! Too many fine images to appropriately comment on.
But, Masterjack, tremendous portraits!
Andrew, fine pics, as ever. Fine waterdrop. What are those big long-necked birds on the rock?
Alwang, a fun combo to be sure. I really like your last one.
Paul, you really know how to demonstrate that "it is the shooter, stupid!"
Brian, you must have had a great time in Prague. I really like the library shot, and that of the dwarf, among many.
Nice shot, Herb. I know this lens has gotten a lot of love on this forum, but I have to say this is one of the first shots where I really see what everyone's been raving about. Very distinctive color palette.

NEX-5n+ 50 Lux. Cropped. f2.8 i believe, 1/800s.
Like this one a lot, cant really tell why though. An appealing almost plastic look. I think the happy couple tops the image together with the colors. Nice shot.

Thx. Just wanted to test how sharp the lens is on the NEX. The light was nice, and i focused on the license plate on the truck. Looks like the voigtlander adapter and the lens is a good match with this camera.

lookin good, have you got the hawk's adapter to try it on?
The Gingerbread House is fairly far into the hawks I think--you are real expert but that bit on the left is major trap for pen 42 wires--I think this cron handles it very very well. But I always fall in love with a new lens and usually fail to see any faults for a while.
You have to see how it looks on the 5n body-I will get some shots soon. Sent my old 5 off to Belarus today. The march to recoup investment begins....
This copy has very light focus--not dry, no play, but you don't have to push hard. Does resist.
I can't see any reason to send it back performance wise. It's only other flaw is slight paint wear on the letters "Leica", hehe
I think that's why he came down some. He showed it clearly in photos--but did not explain the 'minor paint wear"--so I was thinking what the heck? I'm over the terrible trauma now
Here is my first attempt with my new Leica Elmarit R 90mm on the 5N. Like an idiot, I forgot to raise the built in lens hood, so there is some flaring. This was developed in RPP. I need to take a LOT more photos so I can learn this new camera and the new set of lenses.
