Colorful is right! I like it, but if I am being honest, I'd like to see it a bit more angled (giving it depth) with the stem that supports it! Otherwise, nicely done...
Thanks Greg, I agree about your comment and most of the time I would prefer having the stem show but some stems on flowers have a lot of tiny hairs and putting the flower on a black background with a stem is too time consuming , now if I would of had a black background to put behind the flower when I took the shot it probably would helped the shot. Thanks for your comment.
Beautiful, bright, colorful shot! Perfect for posting when most of the Northern Hemisphere is snowed in. (Anthropogenic Global Warming - What a crock!) Anyway, I love it!
I hope your Christmas was wonderful and I wish you and your family a fantastic 2011!
Beautiful flower. Knowing little about different species of flowers, what is it? I am fascinated by the detail in the center of the flower and the contrast to the pedals.
Lovely shot of the Gallilardia. I have tried for many years to get the whole blossom in focus. Mine tend to measure about 3" across. (And have bug bites)
I glad to see all the interest in this flower, it is a African Daisy I probably on photographed this flower only a handful of time, rashley your is simular but the center of your flower is different here is the a link to the type of flowr that I photographed .
Thanks everyone I appreciate all the comments and hope everyone has a happy New Year
