Can anyone recommend a high quality piece of software for putting together photo slide shows for clients? I would be looking for something that produces very professional looking slide shows (ie top quality transition effects, backgrounds, etc). I've used Aperture 3 and Lightroom 3 but they do not give quite the quality I am looking for (although they are decent).
A quick search from this forum shows that Proshow seems to be well recommended but I think it is a Windows only program. Are there any other good ones out there for a Mac?
I agree that photodex is the best solution, however you are correct in that it is for windows only. I think Macs come with a slide show program built in. Other then that you may try an online option such as Animoto.
I have been creating slideshows for over 30 years. I have started a website about creating photo slideshows and have reviewed 3 slideshow programs so far. Two of them are free.
