Here's my point and shoot 4x5, outfitted with a 6x12 back, showing both the 110 and the 58. Fairly inexpensive yet works like a charm!
That's a stupendously ugly camera. It looks like it wants to leap out of the screen and assimilate me.
The gold and blue Hassy is beautiful, yes. The Contax RTS maybe, in a turn-of-the-century bathroom fixture kind of way. The Yashica comes close, if only the marketing people hadn't insisted on the leatherette. Most of the cameras here I find ugly. Many of you apparently don't, and my eyes have been opened to that. Maybe that Italian guy really did give Nikon their money's worth for the red triangle, only to me it just makes their cameras look even more like lawn mowers.
What would I know? I have a design book in which the Nikon F is claimed to be a "20th century design icon". So I guess I'm outnumbered, but I'll take a Diana lamp any day over that.

Yep, thats what I thought about the MF Horseman. It had a rangefinder cam and viewfinder. It folded up into a thin box. Rotating back built-in. tilts and shifts. It had everything. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2626/3943839735_19f132dccd_z.jpg
Beautiful and aesthetic looking cams. In 2001 I was a while in hospital (D.dorf). Lot's of time to think and find a new camera system and wanted to go for this one.
Buying a first digital in the same year and stopping Contax production later brushed it all away. Still love this cameras, Rolf, the N1 in particular.

The most beautiful camera ...
easy for me: anything
1. black
2. marked "CONTAX"
:-)
My personal favorite: The marvelous G2 that we are waiting for a digital version (Zeiss please listen and act!).
I still fall in love with the beautiful G1/G2

Idurita, you made my day! This is the Beauty Queen!
I'll take 2... plus one for backup. I don't care if it's 4 megapixels or 20. I lived with my OM cameras for 30 years. I would be more than happy to go on for 30 years more. Olympus, what about it? My lenses are waiting
All right - that one gets my vote as the classiest and best product photo on this thread - even has the correct lens on it! Thanks for posting and oh yes -
I'll take my DSLR model in "black"!
