Prettiest camera I owned: Olympus Pen E-P1. But I thought the Fuji X100 is prettier. Personally I find drab boxy looking SLR from MF era ugly. And I realise one thing, like women, I like bling bling.

And contrary to popular belief, aesthetics and art do have objective criteria
actually that was kind of my point - i don't think cameras meet any of those objective criteria for beauty (tongue in cheek though it may have been ). it is only taking their function into account that anyone finds them beautiful.
I kinda like the red triangle. It brings an element of consistency to their line of cameras, and they are easy to tell from other cameras. I think marketing-wise it is probably very clever. The only problem with is the red-triangle haters

I really can't understand why Nikon destroys the look of their camera's with that stupid tacky red triangle.
I see it more as a chevron than a triangle, and I think it is a good stylistic feature. I have always liked it. It gives a bit of color to an otherwise monochromatic black camera, and it draws the eye. My Canon 40D has no similar distinctive feature and is poorer (aesthetically) for it. The only non-black features on the 40D are the lettering, the LCD display, and the mount for the flash - none of which is particularly attractive visually.

Yes it draws the eye - that's the problem! I think it breaks the integrity of the look. Canon bodies have less distinctive features but I like that. Poorer aesthetically --> less is more. I also think the relief on top of the flash on recent Nikon bodies is ugly.
mMontag, nice camera! The price seems a bit high though, considering that the wood has some light damage here and there, and the bellows are quite crumpled.
Funny how individual we are. One person finds the Nikon triangle very unattractive, two of us really like it. We are posting the most beautiful cameras in this thread, yet there are already two cameras here which I would nominate for the ugliest camera thread
Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. It made me realize I haven't taken any photos of the most recent addition to my family...I think she is beautiful!
