There exists a sunflower field just outside town that a young family owns and operates. They allow visitors to come and tour the field and pick sunflowers for $1/head. When I went over the weekend, there were tons of saturated sunflowers, ready for harvest. I happened to stumble across this golden opportunity and had to take the shot. Someone had brushed off the tips of the seed-pods to give the sunflower an unhappy persona. Perhaps the sunflower is sad that summer is just about over, that his and his brother's golden locks will soon wilt and fall.
