Dooginfif20 - You should pay more attention. See my two previous posts (i.e. "Luckily the thread is long enough that clicking on the replies in my email bring me to the text only part.")

The text isn't the part that will get me in trouble. It's the image that pops up in the center of the screen when I first click on a link not expecting it to be NSFW.

Heck...if I didn't know any better, I'd think that Steve Wan was out of high school.

In case anyone is wondering what the broken link is on Steve Wans post, it's the remnant of his elementary level attempt to be funny. But he didn't have the stones to leave it up...either that or my computer has learned to ignore it.

Not reading 3 pages Looks like nsfw fight. Anyway. everything is great especially lighting but a plain concrete wall would have been a better scene.

Dave, should have put NSFW in the title, it seems you'd get more hits that way. After all, it's only gone three pages...

Wow, talk about some crazy comments, mostly from people who are clearly looking at images when they shouldn't be.

As I said previously, I like the images and especially like the BTS shot.

I agree with other posters who suggested that having the background more OOF may of been better.

Knowing where the OP lives, and having been to Venice Beach, I'd respectfully suggest it might be a touch too far for him to go !!

And my $A0.02 (@ darn-near parity with the $USD ) regarding the issue of NSFW ................

Sure, it wouldn't of hurt the OP to of put NSFW in the title, but did he need to ?

Safe for WHOS work ?

Sure, she's in a bikini, but she's not nude, heck she's not even topless.

I would suggest that if your employer permits you to "surf the web" while on the clock, yet would cause your employment grief if a bikini-clad girl pops up, then you realistically have two options................

1) Accept the risk that you may soon be looking for a new job

2) Do not surf the web at work, and especially do NOT surf photography (or any other) sites where you KNOW there are NSFW images.

It does not seem to be a really smart career move to rely 100% on people labelling each and every single link on each and every single website in the world that links to a page containing a picture of a woman in a bikini or less.

Best you make sure you don't visit such NSFW sites as the BBC either ......

The BBC is the largest broadcasting organisation in the world. Its mission is to enrich people's lives with programmes that inform, educate and entertain.

It is a public service broadcaster, established by a Royal Charter and funded by the licence fee that is paid by UK households.

Whenever I visit a roller rink, the majority of girls dress in a rather provocative way, trying to outdo each other to be sexy and fashionable, a feeling which the model, dress, posing, and lighting capture very well. I second the advice that a different background or shallower DOF would enhance the feeling of the photos I think you were striving to achieve. I suspect you wanted to keep the sidewalk in the shot (roller skating); with a less distracting background, the series would be great for a portfolio, or for marketing the outfit.

What is missing in this series is a picture of the "Roller Girl" actually skating. Otherwise, she's just a pretty model wearing roller skates standing on a sidewalk. As it is now, the title would be "Roller Girl, NRS (not roller skating)". I'm new here and to be totally PC, I would have used NSFW, to avoid a thread wreck missing opportunities for RUF (really usefull feedback). Peace.

I liked the photos and appreciate the shot of the lighting setup. It seems to make for a better learning experience when someone shows the final product and how they got there.

Thanks
