Lots of interested locals, huge reflectors/diffusers being moved around and a scene being filmed with the camera looking directly into a litter bin !
Andy
So you got to crash a Bollywood set too Andy. You certainly did get your money's worth on the trip! That is quite a lens. There's a similar one on the bay, $37K obo, for anyone looking at a movie making hobby
George, I missed the Mercury transit earlier. Very impressive setup and excellent capture!
Mathieu, the lighthouse+pelicans in black and white is superb!
Very nice sentiment Rafael on Veterans day!
Laura, I see Rorslett gave the Rodenstock a 1 for sharpness. Wonder if it may do better on the Z-mount. One day we might see a sample from Jay.
Back from Hawaii Sunday. We went from 85 deg to 11 with wind chill. Luckily, Montana only got skimmed by this arctic blast as it has moved east causing havoc so i am not complaining. So much cold, so early.
Here's one last image from my last fall trip up to Glacier for he larch/tamarack change. Fallen needles paving the paths with gold.

I think those RED cameras are about $50K too aren't they ?
While I'm here, I'll finish Shimla with a couple of sunsets taken from the open window of a bar we stumbled upon. Best sunsets we saw while in India
a little SEP2 here, maybe a bit much, but the shot was boring without a little help in post
16mm f/3.5 AI on D810, about 25% cropped to level the shot since it was taken without using the view finder. F/8 for some nice sun star bursts on all highlights
Excellent capture of Mercury in transit George, as well as the many fine shots by all since my last visit! Here's a shot using selective focus in a four shot, hand held, vertical pano of the spring wildflowers currently lining our local beach here in Waikanae. Captured with the 135mm f2.8 QC Auto (circa 1975)... Coastal Wildflower Panorama by David Hamments, on Flickr

McLaren needs to purchase your photo! terrific capture with a most difficult lens!
Difficult lens? At f/8 I don't even look through the viewfinder, which sadly lead to heavy cropping to get things straight again. Otherwise the entire sun would have been in the frame. And McLaren? Why do they need a picture if an Oreca?
