I tore my ACL and did not pick up a camera since mid summer. Had my surgery about two months ago. I am still in recovery mode but feeling good enough to start shooting again.
105mm f2.5 9-blade. She is my indicator of how long I've been on this thread. Time flies...
That is true, and to be even more Ben-like George needs a little red and a lot of black in the frame
Ben's moved on from Sydney to Rome and from Nikon to something else. I still check out his Flickr page sometimes and his signature style hasn't changed. Now he is photographing people eating ice cream in the dark in Rome ")

Reminds me of Ben's images. He has an uncanny way of finding the color red in a lot of his images.

Congrats Scott! Nothing like Grandkids.
Thanks George, Samy, and Leighton. You're right, Leighton. Grandkids are the best. This is my second one. There's nothing like playing with them, getting them pumped up on sugar, and sending them home!

A little more color, but still seeing Red
Good take, I'm surprised to not see a lot more sponsorship on these; I'm thinking along the lines of UCI style advertising on cycling jerseys.

Chuong its indeed been a long time, welcome back! Sorry to hear about the ACL, and hope you are fully recovered very soon.
Nice to see you here!

Great pano Jay. I like how you got right down on the rocks.
Hope no one is tired of fall color; apologies if you are. All with the 180 f2.8 AIS. I should just sell the 200 f4 AI, it probably won't see the light of day much anymore.
Nice Ray, hope I can jump in too. I have to use the 55mm Micro AI, otherwise the color is pretty dull this year here. pbraymond wrote:

^^^ the last three posts are just too beautiful, just reminds me why I love this time of year!
on another note, I got really bored with using my pixel to take photos while hiking with Tuki so I wanted something else that was light and didnt mind getting beat up while out in the woods. I found a D80 and a Nikon Series E 50mm F/1.8 at the local camera store for $75 bucks. D80 has 6700 clicks, looks brand new as well as the nifty fifty...
Of course I had to see if it passed the Tuki test...so far I love it!
Great series, anitrone. I especially love the last one. D80 is pretty cool, with great colours. I have fond memories of mine, since passed on to my nephew. Actually, I lent it to him and he decided to keep it.

thank you, the same happened to me with my D2X lent it to my niece and she never returned it!
Here are a couple bokeh-test shots with a 5.8cm f/1.4 made in 1961. It's got a lovely swirly texture in the OOF areas, especially with shiny things, and is spurprisingly and pleasingly sharp in the middle, wide open.
