I had trouble posting yesterday but I think it was just our crappy internet / chrome / flickr
This is the stepwell that Samy visited in Delhi earlier in the year. We didn't miss each other by much but by enough. We were there on 13th March according to the exif
We haven't had the best of fall weather and colors here in NW Montana. here was snow up high early and very cold temps put many of the cottonwoods into shock. I am just back from a couple of days in Glacier with both my Sony A7RII and the Df. I was trying to get some of the cottonwoods along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. The light was fleeting and I only got decent light when the Sony was on the tripod (note to self - bring 2 tripods next time). I posted that on the FM Landscape forum.
Here, later in the day, is an evening capture at Apgar Village on Lake McDonald with the Nikkor 35mm f2 AI-S/Df. This is about as much color as we got. The color faded as we went into sunset.
You found a good time to go there Andy, very few people in the foreground. I think I was there a Sunday afternoon and those steps right in front were packed in my take of the scene. There was a Bollywood movie a few years ago that apparently made Agrasen Baoli popular. I had never heard of it until a month before my trip; found it while google searching for historical architecture in the city.

Andy, good thing you have a treasure trove from India to keep us moving. Enjoying the posts (and narratives when you include them).
Thanks Ray. Yeah, it's good to be able to contribute regularly to keep the thread moving, just that I've seen all my pics
I'll try and include more info, the problem now is that I have forgotten where some of the places are/were ! Fortunately I do at least know which place follows which place at least.
Here is a side street in Delhi. Pretty narrow huh? yup, too narrow for cars. Not too narrow for bicycles, donkeys, cows, motorbikes, push carts, goats though !
What is also amazing is the amount of services, water pipes, electricity conduits, telegraph cables, drains etc. that are also routed along streets in the hundreds, usually from what I could tell, each person has to run an individual cable from the tie in point to their shop or house ! It is an amazing place. Side streets like this contain shop after shop or business after business in tiny rooms, the cobbler, the jewellery maker, plumbing shop, kitchen supplies, etc. etc. No big chain stores or supermarkets.
Revisiting and reprocessing images from last year in Italy, it's interesting how attracted to the various food markets we were. Here in Modena a group of young men look at the lunchtime pasta offerings from "Il Piccolo Mugnaio" - The Little Miller . Difficult to decide what to have!
