Nice ones Regina. Yeah that smoke was pretty fugly for sure. I looked outside Friday morning, and said nope, the lawn can wait. Our AQI here was almost 400 that day, but it was sure better than Michigan where it was over 1000

The tall ships came to Boston's Seaport. The orange color in these photos is from smoke from the Canadian wildfires. D850, 24mm f2.8.

I’ve been out when the AQI was over 400… I can’t imagine what 1000 would be like. That is so awful.

When I moved out to the west coast from central Canada (Toronto area) and experienced lingering wildfire smoke for the first time (i.e., never in Ontario after many decades there, and never during my decade in Newfoundland), I worried that I might have made a bad trade. But now I'm seeing that this troubling climate-related problem is spreading, such that one would need to be deficient in all five senses not to see the trouble we're in. I sure hope these situations start soon to bring about an awakening!

James, building reflections off the glass towers are common in Manhattan specially with the high Sun. One just has to be there at the right time.

Here is another taken shortly before the Chrysler Building photo.

Serge

I love a good reflection photo, and I find these last two of yours very nicely composed, Serge! In fact, I consistently enjoy the images you produce with your humble X-E1. Your shutter actuations on that camera must be approaching GDP numbers for a small country!

In keeping with the reflection theme, here are a few reflections in vintage automobiles at Hot August Nights, 2025, by way of my Fuji X-T4 and 25-50 f/4 Ai-s.
