I had only seen the Tower from the airport before this visit. It was much darker then covered with centuries of patina. It surprised me how brilliant it is today. The first has quite a bit of haze/smoke from the nearby fire.

This set was inspired by Jim. I haven't been taking pictures recently, but thought I'd take a walk this afternoon. It didn't happen. When I was finally done, the sun had already set. I mounted the Nikkor-H for its speed hoping I will find something worthy in the garden at least. This was the first thing I saw. As I framed the first shot wide open, I recalled Jim's purple Petunias. I find this lens very hard to focus wide open. I thought I got the wide open shot but clearly focus is a bit front of where I intended. I present all three. I typically shoot this lens at F/2.8, just crisp enough. However, if I were to choose one, the F5.6 version appeals the most for its greater depth of field.
