Here are a few more scenic shots from our ferry ride through the Southern Gulf Islands in late June, taken with the 28-50 f/3.5 Ai-s (first one) and the 50-135 f/3.5 Ai-s (the other three).

Peter I was checking out the R8 LMP in wikipedia. Very interesting history. Looks tight in there, even with the 16 fisheye. Cool looking car, might have been one of these two: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_R8_(LMP)#/media/File:1_and_2_Audi_R8.jpg
it is the #2 car on the left in the image at the top of this article
it was last driven in real competition in 2005 by Frank Biela, ,Allan McNish, and Emanuele Pirro to P3 at Le Mans. I have a few on track shots coming, but all in the AF thread.
Albeit from 1998, when I was fortunate enough to be hosted by the Big Mat Auber 93 team, who had a sponsor deal with IBM, a little company I worked with.
Not sure how many I can find, all taken on F3+MD4 and could be with 20-50mm or 35-70mm or even 80-200mm
I would have to guess at the lens used 21 years ago (memory fade, I think)
There are some from the Individual Time Trial taken from inside the team car
And some from the final stage on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées
I will post others too at some point.
Please bear with the dust and scratches from the negs .... film stock probably Kodak 100 or 200 ASA
Copied on D810 + 55mm macro on PB-6 bellows with PS-6 attachment plus SB-700

What are you doing posting a picture of Our Thread Founder (Curtis) in the first shot?
But seriously loving these old shots. I have been following the Tour for many years on TV. Would love to actually go there in person.
Steve you have been on a roll recently! Nice shots!
Jay where oh where was that shot? Thought Monument Valley but don't recall buildings like that.
Here is the 36-72 E Series I acquired on the cheap and after exercising it I don't think there is an issue with it. From the rear yard with a brilliant sunset at my back and a looming storm to the east. It made for interesting light. It even treated the fountain spray on the 36mm exposure with interest,
Sometimes you get lucky. Rain storm, tent blown away, F1 cars rolled into pedestrian tunnel overnight, and I get there at 7:15am with my D810 and some MF glass in the pack while heading to a photo meeting. Meeting can wait. This will never happen again, and nobody else sees the potential of these photos?
Used the 16mm f/3.5AI here, a bit of de-fishing and plenty of NIK tools and Photoshop color grading magic.

This is just fantastic! I'm glad you saw the potential of the photo, even of the others didn't.

I'm sure that someone like Reagan will agree that it is an unfortunate casualty of our current times
they still show up from time to time. IMSA's title sponsor really is into that stuff. Going to be on the grid next Sunday again, pretty sure. AF shot with the 200-500mm, so linked
