I've always loved neon signs and couldn't help but take some snapshots of these old signs in Cherokee, NC. To me, neon signs represent a piece of disappearing Americana.
All taken with Fuji X-T2 and Nikkor Micro 55mm f/3.5.
I don't know if this one still works. The motel is closed and the office area serves as a thrift shop. DSCF0345Web-55mm by Scott Poupard
This one is no longer functioning, but you can see the holes where the tubes were at one time. DSCF0346Web-55mm by Scott Poupard
The Cherokee Trader gift shop is still operating, the the sign could use a makeover. DSCF0349Web-55mm by Scott Poupard
Both the Pink Motel and its sign are still operational, though the sign could use a bit of cleaning. The motel is in much better condition. DSCF0353Web-55mm by Scott Poupard
Jay loved the vivid colorful flowers against the misty rainy backdrop.
Ken, interesting news on the Corvette C8, are you looking to upgrade?
Mathieu, there's only a couple samples of the 10.5 and 5cm lenses that do not work for me on the Df and those are from ~1959, very early in the F-mount lineup. The early ones had a longer overhang at the rear mount. I think George has some or the other around the same timeframe that do work. Nikon reduced that overhang quickly. The early 5cm ones are the worst culprit.
Rafael, those two will keep you as busy as the proposals!
It is an interesting car. For my purposes the 3 second 0-60 is way more than I need and the 12.6 cuft luggage space may be just enough. My 2016 has 44k miles and has been to 38 states. Some say they may start showing up in dealers showroom in the last 1/4 of 2019. Soooo well see!

I have a "brick" that I picked up at an estate sale a few months ago in mint condition for $3, but I've never run a roll of film through it. It seems to work, though. Maybe I'll give it a try when I finish the roll in my Nikkormat FT3. I found where someone designed a 3D printed adapter that allows the lens to be used on a Fuji X camera. I may have to pick one of them up.
George, just mailed film out yesterday including the roll from the brick. No interesting scenes in Ann Arbor this time but I still exercised the shutter a couple times at its birthplace. Ah another brick owner on this thread! Scott all the best tinkering with it.
IŽve got a few more to work through. IŽll be back with more!
Have a good sunday all!!

Beautiful shots and looks like a great time! Can't wait for cooler weather here. Sitting looking at my temperature on the shaded front porch. 99 degrees F, with a feel like 106 degrees. No fun and no shooting for me. That is even too hot for fishing.

Now where did I put that glass of iced tea??
George
Thanks George, that sounds crazy hot. We had a crazy hot summer last year, this summer is more or less like a regular swedish summer, not too warm, not too cold, some sun and some rain. I prefer the later, cant stand too much heat...also the fish gets lazy when too hot, that means bad fishing...
We didn't fish any this time though, we mostly swam and hiked.
Kristian, very peaceful perspective with the canoes. Glad you are having a relaxing summer.
I had work to do over the weekend so the Z6 and 13.5cm 3.5 Q didn't get an outing at all over the weekend. Or maybe it was an excuse to stay out of the elements. Its very slightly less warm here compared to where George is.
This past week, the skies were suppose to clear and the weather was going to be great. So, my wife and I headed up to Glacier for a couple of days of day hiking and one short backpacking overnighter. Unfortunately, Glacier didn't get the memo. When it comes to weather in Glacier, "it doeth what it pleaseth"! Yep, cloudy and wet. I took my Sony A7RII, but also threw in a few Nikkors, like the small, pocketable 50mm HC Auto f2.
Under much less than ideal conditions, here is an image from Grinnell Lake, below the glacier of the same name.
Found a Nikkor H.C 50/2 last week in great condition... so I thought. I was excited for this lens, but was let down when image quality degraded strongly and suddenly when stopping down from just after f/5.6. It looked like it went from f/5.6 sharpness to f/22 all of a sudden. Had a look through the glass and inside and saw a blob.
took the lens block apart, and had high hopes it was just condensation from the little isopropyl alcohol I was using to clean the exterior and paint finishing... turns out the lens is delaminating

Sorry to hear about that. I have had mine for over 40 years and just had it cleaned after noticing some haze - good for another 40, I hope. It's a sweet little lens!
Raphael you haven't lost a thing. Cars were great!
Scott terrific assemblage of mom & pop motel signs. A thing of the past in America! Love the captures and the theme!
Doug West Glacier is a great spot and the weather makes it ,,, well Glacier!
George my humble offering of the day is ways away from my beloved 99' here in Florida. I love the hot weather! So here is a PANO of 11 shots taken in Glacier Bay, Alaska. The Glacier was immense and it was one of the highlights of the cruise, The temp was a balmy 30'
Question (since I am still learning here):
If I post a photo, then later look at it and think 'that post-processing sucks, what was I thinking?' - Is there a way to replace it on the forum?
Thx

Yes, you can go to your post and select Edit. You then have the option to upload a different photo.
