As promised - our wild clematis. As I said last time - more than I have ever seen - even covering trees.
This was a challenge. These flowers are very delicate and usually somewhat exposed - so the slightest waft sends them swaying. So trying to do a 3 shot focus stack requires extreme patience and luck. I don't have a lot of either, so you can see some minor blending artifacts in one of these - but "it's all good", as they say.
While searching LR for some old shots, I came across these taken a couple of years ago with the 105/4 Micro on Df rushing to catch the last rays of the westering sun before it set.
Sorry for posting what feels like ancient history.
Flickr is now owned by SmugMug. When I was looking for a hosting site several years ago, their downtime is one thing that took them out of the running. I'm guessing it's now transferred to Flickr as well.

No need to apologize for revisiting old cool shots!

Ken, this is very nice "ancient history". I like both of these a lot.

Letchworth Balloon Rally last evening. Twenty plus lifted off. After launching they drift down to the bottom of the gorge and then pop up. The images are taken from the rim of the gorge. 55 f3.5 Ai and 105 f2.5 Ais. Thanks for looking.

Eike, for many years before I owned any of the Micro-Nikkors I used the trusty 50/2 H with extension tubes for all my macro work. It performs reasonably well in the close-up range but with more curvature of field than the dedicated macro lenses.
