Does anyone have images hosted on google photos? My upload and sell membership has expired and as I haven't used the buy or sell boards it seems a waste to pay for them.
i've paid regularly for more than 10 years and would be willing to pay something for uploads but $60 seems excessive when gauged against its buying power in SA
I see that many of our members upload from flickr and I've followed Fred's instructions without success (Using Google photos as my host) .

I've tried a few times with Google Photos, to no avail. I just use Flickr now.

If you look under membership I believe you can get 2 years for $49
That what it was last time I paid
The Z6 and 5cm/1.4 LTM with the black and white profile seem to handle strong backlighting pretty well. This is as was shot in the camera. Just brought in to Lightroom to add EXIF lens info in LensTagger.
My wife will shoot me for posting. She told me to put the camera down and start working

Finally my migration from LR to ON1 is completed (170K images). It took about 50 hours and most of the time my iMac was fully occupied with it (8 threads 90-100%).
So far it looks good. A few albums are missing. Keywords, ratings, colors are present.
Now checking how the edits are converted.
It looks like I'm out of Adobe (Affinity for Photoshop).
Took this one at the MET with the Fuji X-E1 and 28/2.8 AIs, ISO 800 @ f/2.8.
I have seen this chap at his craft many times and think he has sketched just about every sculpture in the museum. Talented artist that does not mind the cameras. Need to ask him what his plans are once he runs out of inventory.

Hi Peter,
One solution is to make a free blog on wordpress.com or blogspot.com... There you make a post with your images and put a link of each image on FM. I think will work.
Another way with some $ is to purchase an US hosting account on a cheap reseller... You may need a domain name for that but if you look carefully you can solve the problem with less that $20...25 per year. Then you upload there your pictures and use the individual link. With a ftp software like FileZilla is very easy and no time consuming.
Here is an example, a poster from a wordpress blog of a friend of mine...
Next family event, tell them to hire a pro photographer to come and shoot, splitting the cost between the families present. Leave your camera gear home to enjoy the gathering. You won't have to edit photos and you can enjoy the day. I suspect next time they won't give you any grief.
I’m having a photography crisis. I’m actually thinking of selling off my kit and getting a basic something with a zoom. Something I can setup to spit out jpegs that I don’t have to edit.
I like the process for the most part, but I have damn near zero time to edit. I’m also tired of being the photographer for all family events. Then I have to deal with people that think they know how to do the shot better and get impatient.
