Ha I remember Leighton proudly showing off the focus peaking too The Z6 with the FTZ adaptor is around 2K. Hmmm. I can't remember if George or someone else said that the oldest F lenses (5cm and 10.5 primarily) do work with the FTZ. For me that's the only drawback of the Df - those unmodified lenses from 1959 stubbornly refuse to mount.
I have no interest in the Z lenses for now. Maybe the gargantuan 58 0.95 when it shows up, but then it will have quite a price tag.
Samy, you can mount the old 5cm f/2 lenses on the DF or other DSLR using the K1 ring, but then I believe you loose infinity focus.

The tone and texture are excellent George, great shot ! I have the Canon FD version of this lens which is superb, didn't know the Nikkor version was this sharp, very impressive.

Mmmm - I can imagine that tasted good.
Just about to hit the champagne to celebrate my son getting a job offer last week after graduating from University in the summer. (He also wrote off one of our cars but that's another story. Thankfully it was low speed so no injuries to anyone - apart from pride)
One less person on the payroll come February so maybe a mirror-less camera, or D850, is on the horizon.

Thanks Robert. It flares a lot in some lighting conditions, but I do like the rendering and seems to do well with close subjects.

Enjoy the festivities!

Congratulations to you and your camera fund Colin! Cars can be replaced. If you want the megapixels of the D850 go Z7
Well then they're identical ! Excellent short focus distance, sharp even wide open and mine at least has some superb bokeh but terrible flaring, ghosting which is something quite common with these legacy lenses !
