Beautiful shots, Luka. Calatrava's works are amazing. I've shot some of his sundial bridge in Redding, CA, but they were with AF lenses, so not acceptable here.
Once again I saw the body of a suicide victim being pulled from the Willamette River today by the Portland Fire and Rescue boat. Pale, cyanotic bare legs dangling over the edge of the deck, staring lifelessly at the sky, I would not take a picture of the corpse although several gawkers were shooting photos.
Instead here’s an iris from my yard. 105/4 Micro AI-s on D700.

Thank you so much for your kind words.
Ken,
Or, you can post on the FX image thread By the way, I am with you on the not shooting the corpse. I realize that I do not have that kind of PJ in me after experiencing f 911 and its aftermath in NYC. I could not make myself shoot anything. I love the fact that instead of shooting someone's tragedy, you shot a flower !
Colin,
You are on a great streak of gorgeous shots. The IR shots are gorgeous, but it is also great to see the color version.
I understand what you folks are saying about death and tragedy. And it is valid in my book.
I did shoot some from yesterday in Manchester, that reflects a tragic event 1 year ago at an Arianne Grande concert when 22 people lost their lives due to the selfishness of one individual.
The memorial event took place on Tuesday and meant that the City was far too crowded to want to engage on the ground so to speak.
So I went in yesterday.
Here are some of the tributes and floral decorations that have been left by well-wishers.
All taken on Nikon MF on Nikon
Also acquired (NAS) a very sparkly looking F2S body with MB-2 and MB-1 will post later

Ken, that's really tragic. I looked up suicides/drowning in the river, and was stunned by what I read. I'm sorry you had to witness that, and would have done the same as you and not taken any photos.
Colin, you're providing a wonderful travelogue of Scotland. Love this stuff, brings me back to the Netherlands from Chris, Australia from Andy, Germany from Georg, and a few others from older times, and more currently from Phillipe, Buddy, Kristian to name a few. I really like the international flavor on this thread.
The USA based shots are great as well, New York city thru Luka, New York State thru Scott, farm life from Leighton (slacker), and warm sunny beaches from Ken and Reagan. I'm missing a few I know, so apologies if I did not mention your name, but know that I enjoy traveling thru your lenses and your vision.
There is a major difference though, in taking photos of a memorial, and taking photos of a corpse. Even though I work with hospice, it's not something I would take a photo of either.

and hurrah hurrah, I returned to work yesterday. Postmaster sent me an email about 930PM on Tuesday, saying "Welcome Back to work! Can you come in tomorrow? I had gone to bed early, like 845PM, and was zonked for the night. Saw the email at 715 the following morning and said yup, I'll be there as soon as I can!
