A series dedicated to the majestic 'Buachaille Etive Mor' sitting at the head of Glen Etive and adjacent to Glen Coe. Taken from edge of Rannoch Moor.
Buddy and Colin, thanks for your kind comments on my monochrome forest scene. I must give some of the credit for that image to the tools I am learning about within On1 Photo RAW 2018, which is a great processing app. Thanks also to those who have clicked the "Like" button for my image posts.
Here are a couple of shots from along the Little Qualicum River. The first was shot with the 20 f/3.5 UD, and the second is courtesy of the 135 f/2 Ai-s.
Colin, nice work on Rannoch Moor and the shot of Loch Katrine, which you're right I do know well
Glen Coe though must be one of my favourite places, especially down the Glen Etive where I have climbed many a route on the Etive slabs .... quite tricky and can be slippy depending on the weather. One of the best ridge climbs in the UK imho is the Aonach Eagach ridge along Glen Coe ... they classify it as a scramble. But I can't quite see how when in places you might need ropes !!
Great reminders of a fabulous part of the earth. I pass through the Glen often on the way to my sisters place on the Isle of Skye
Anyway ..... some more birds from the docks
Pied Wagtail x 2
Swan moving her eggs, keeping them in condition.
And a Tern just risen off the egg .... really well camouflaged
Always the positive waves for the Nikon on Nikon way of life

Pied Wagtail strutting his stuff - (Motacilla alba, for Jose)
Should I take the plunge, or just fly off ??
Bright white in a bright sun .... let's get these eggs moved
Letting the air through to the egg .... or stretching the legs ...
The forth shot is not quite there .... looks like a little CA with the TC201 mounted ... shame cos its a nice composition.
I know the people who used to own the Stronaclachar cafe, and still own a couple of holiday cottages at the other end of the Loch. Really quiet place not like this end where the ship is based .... too many tourists for my liking !!

Steve,
Agree the TC-210 doesn't help but I think the slow shutter speed with that combo was ambitious. The last one is a full frame without any cropping. Need that 200-500 VR (Oops sacrilege, sorry guys 'n gals)
Some really, really nice shots have been shared lately.
Scott, great waterfall shot.
Colin, love your pano. Fantastic!!
Glen, nice river shots. My fishing nerv tickles really bad...
Dave, love that milky way shot!
Jay, cool "orb" shot.
Aint got much to show off, but here are a few shots from the garden.
Not much of a bird photographer (as you can see) but it was fun shooting this from the window of my apartment. Here´s a very exotic dove. They seem to eat the pink flowers and then the garden floor becomes purple when it comes out again.

The rumors of my demise
Have been greatly exaggerated
Great work everyone
Colin, too bad there isn't a way to auto set the "like" button for you lately
To reignite my flagging enthusiasm I've signed up to Nikonians, re-editing and submitting some old pics.
This is the old Red Bridge across the Knysna River, edited with Color Efex Pro4, using a film efex filter.
The red is rust but the bridge has been repaired and repainted. However to the locals it will always be the "red' bridge as opposed to the newer "white" bridge on the N2 to Cape Town.
