Thank you. As we were walking through the Mass Audubon Ipswich River Sanctuary today I was remembering that I used to take that Nikkormat everywhere, apparently even in snow and very cold conditions. And sometimes my sweetie would take it away from me. They built 'em to survive.

Jim, nice scans from the late 70s. Any Disco outfits hiding in the closet.
The t-shirt was on display, a super eye catcher. I picked one up for my better half.

This was a super quick focus job, the young lady walked into the frame. The entry to the Real Alcazar in the background....

Thank you. No Disco outfits but a month or two ago I did post this slide from the early 70's. Taken at a VMSC autocross. Pretty grotesque, no doubt about it.
Your travelogue pics are fascinating. And that pic of the lady walking through tells an intriguing story.
From today's walk through Massachusetts Audubon's Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary on a cloudy and cold mid-December day. The Ipswich River here runs through the Wenham Swamp. In winter it looks quiet. In summer it thrives with all sorts of life, aquatic or flying. The main channel twists back and forth around tufts of reeds and trees so that on a canoe run through here you often can't see any more than 50 ft ahead.
All shot with either 200mm f/4 or 35mm f/2.8.
The non-migratory birds are used to being fed, in fact they expect it.
Dark Eyed Junco. Being ground feeders, they don't quite know what to make of it.

Hey Siphiwe - thanks for thinking of me. I did find a great weight loss program. Get an eye injection - then within three hours get your flu and covid booster, and chase with a horrible cold and gastro infection. 7 pounds in 5 days - winning! I'm almost back to normal, except I lost my taste. Tomato galette last night - looked great, but nothing on the taste. Hoping Barb will do a repeat performance when I can appreciate it.
James, I'm very sorry for not acknowledging your response. I wish that you have fully recovered by now. The novel weight loss program seems not for the faint-hearted.

Hope everyone is fine. I've been doing some remodeling and just had to get it finished. But when I saw the sunset last evening I thought I should share it. We haven't had a nice sunset in weeks, maybe months. The only weather we've had is 2 snowstorms. 50-135mm.

Beautiful sunset Leighton! It has been a very cold and cloudy season so far. Tough to get motivated to get outside with the camera. Great to see you posting. Hope the remodeling came out well!

The cold season seems thorough in browning out everything in your area, Jim. I love the "expression" on #7.
Thanks. That wildlife sanctuary is at about latitude 42.6N and this area is in what is called the Snow Belt. So the days get short, and brown and gray are the colors of December here (until the Christmas lights come out ).

Thanks Scott. You're right, it has been hard season so far. I follow a Youtuber in the Finger Lake region and he was saying how cold it's been there this Winter (and technically, it's not even Winter yet)!
Yes, the remodeling turn out fine for a couple of old folks.
Close to full recovery, and Barb surprised me with another work of culinary art. A Spinach, three cheese, and pine nut pastry. It was sublime. How did I get so lucky?
D850 with the Nikkor 55mm-f3.5-ai-micro green dotting again

The QUEEN is BAAAACK !!!!! Enjoy Jim! Glad you are better!
I have been lurking and using the like button so I thought it time to make a contribution to the image gallery. I took the 28/2.8 AI-S on a trip to London. The city was packed with tourists and shoppers.
