We don't get the white stuff very often, but we did yesterday afternoon into the night. We only got a little over an inch, so it's not to bad. Here's a couple from my back yard. Both taken with the Z8 and 25-50/4 Ai-S.
This is a mundane moon shot, but what makes it interesting to me is the quality the 400mm f/3.5 AI-S maintained with the TC301 2x converter attached.
That's a great moon shot! And it's always nice to see the 400mm 3.5 ais in use. I have one as well and I've always been impressed at the quality of this lens with the 2X converter even when shooting wide open.

Welcome to the MF Nikkor thread. The background looks like a cathedral of tree trunks with warm colored light (almost like stained glass), yet the trunk is in cool colored light. Flash?

I know you have shot theater before… I am shooting my daughters play starting this Thursday. I have the 300/2.8 and a nice and sturdy tripod. Any tips for shooting this event? I have really only used the 300 for wildlife, just not this kind of wildlife.
Anyone that’s done this, please share your knowledge. I’m being a second shooter for this production and the first only shoots with a 24-70/2.8. I will be in the back row, she will be in the front row.
Kevin,
When I shot theatre I ran four bodies, and dress rehearsal is the perfect time to do it. Two C and two N. For back row it was the 180mm f2.8 AF, and EF 200mm f2.8. When moving close to stage and on stage I used 24-70 zooms.

A drive-by of sorts. I've been liking a lot of images without contributing much. Trying to figure out what I'm shooting this year, a goal being less flowers.
I saw Leighton and thought of this image. I had not realised that tractors have turbo engines nowadays.

My neighbor across the street has one of those or a six series. Our lots are 104x140 feet - so it doesn't see the light of day very often. He brought it with him when he moved in a couple years ago - built it a garage etc. Then one day he order a couple dump trucks of crush stone - dug a trench (front blade, back trench bucket) for a third driveway lane - and faster than you can say "golly" - it was finshed. He must have had more land in his previous house. Reminded me of my landscaping days - fun!
Makes my 755 look cute. I really need a bigger tractor! Made it out of the mountains, now I’m stuck in a snowstorm in coastal NC, and STILL no adapter… hopefully tomorrow!
In the meantime some S 3.5cm shots from a warmer time. Anyone recommend a particular S body?

Hey fellow Deere brother, I have the 755 as well! Bought it brand new in 1989 and still running strong. Probably the best compact tractor Deere ever made.
Now I know I made a good choice! It does everything I need it too… till I need to move dirt.

You should try a 10 ton case bulldozer for moving dirt. You just point and go - dirt, trees just move out of the way. It's amazing!
