This is not on. Looks like we've been silent for 22 hours. I've been a bit distracted. I'll try. My AIS 135mm f/2.8 is Rafael condition but I rarely get the type of images that the pre-AI 13.5cm f/3.5 is capable of delivering. I love that lens too much but being pre-AI, it is Df only. I tried the f/2.8 on Z5.
It's not that I am expecting bad news, but I practiced a bit of Rafael's "curarse and salud" or Advance Consolation, merely for good karma building purposes. Many years ago I set a mental ridiculously low price for a minty copy of the 70-180mm afd micro. I know it's not MF, but what a great lens!
I also have been working on collimating my repaired folding cameras. I was surprised that virtually every camera had had it's front objective group removed and improperly re-installed. Presumably to clean the lenses. Almost every manufacturer screwed the objective on almost as far as you could then backed off just a touch for infinity focus. I had to check the collimation so the infinity mark on the lens indicator ring would be correct. Here is a little bit of the process on an Agfa Isolette - D800 with the 55mm f3.5 ai micro
Sharpen your pencil
Draw a X on a ground glass
Tape it to the camera film box pencilled side facing front of the camera
Loosen but do not remove the three tiny set screws that hold the range indicator ring
Here are a few photos to keep things moving from both the Duncan car show (first and third images) and the Ladysmith British car show (second and fourth shots), which occurred on the same day in July, 2024. These were all taken with the 35 f/2 OC.
On the Nippi front, I am happy to report that "mix of sun and cloud" is the forecast for Sunday, with a mildly bracing high of 7°C (45°F). So I will plan to finally get out with Nippi on Sunday afternoon, following a social event I am obliged to attend in the morning.

Looking down on Times Square, NYC - as viewed from Bar 54 of the Hyatt Centric.
Times Square is a crazy place.
As a tourist I loved it, particularly at night.

Wow, sexy piece of metal&glass! For $100, would totally have gone for this, even though I don't "need" it. Good luck!
It was a scam, the seller got hold of a third party tracking number to my Zip code and used it to show a delivery. I had the package intercepted, saw it at the post office and it was a third party package, the USPS sent it back to the seller. eBay denied my case, which means they did not really look at it, filed another case on Paypal.
It is only $100, but this may mean the end of my using eBay and Paypal, have spent $$$$ tens of thousands there, but not correctly processing my claim would mean we are done.

Hi Folks!
Penultimate day in NYC today so will have a series of images from my 50/2 H to share once I return home. Exciting news is that Serge and I managed to hook up for a beer in between our respective schedules. Thanks for making the effort Serge, it was great to meet you. I trust your current trip to Italy is as good as ours is in NYC.
Colin
It was a pleasure meeting Colin and his family in the Big Apple. Sadly, we had a flight the following day so time was short but we had a great visit.
Colin, the weather in Florence has been fantastic the past two days and took the opportunity to take a few photos. The following few days, not so great which happens this time of year. The city is far more crowded than one would expect considering it is low tourist season.
Glad you had a great time in Manhattan, it is a super fun place specially for visitors.
