Really enjoying those photos from Ireland. Lots of history in that country.
We went to see a bit of german industrial history yesterday. An old iron smelter shut down since the 1960's in the middle of Duisburg to be exact. We visited the site before, but now, after 8 years, decided to go and have another look there. So three camera's carried by three photographers joined the many (fall holiday time here)
Taken with the 16mm f3,5 Nikkor-K
If you watch at that tall tower in the first picture, well, Anouk asked me if we could climb it. Stairs lead all the way to the top, so that's where we went
This is of course a fine oportunity to take pictures of heavy industrial equipment, like here, taken with the UD Nikkor again
In order to keep the site safe for visitors renovation and restauration is taking place in all areas, and some of the areas are remodeled into art exhibitions, dealing with the former industrial nature of the site. Here taken with the 55mm f1,2 Nikkor-S.C again

Buddy, is that Lumi? Wow, long time no see! Hope all is well with you all.
Mary
Hi Mary, yes, that is Lumi. She's 10 years old now, and a bit white around the nose, but still healthy and agile.
The rest of us are not doing too bad either. Anouk is already in her 2nd year of elementary school

Good to see you Buddy, not got Anouk on the MF train yet I see
I love places like this, I remember you visiting it before. Great that you are allowed to visit, most places would throw a fence around it or demolish it.
