Peter, that last rose is phenomenal. Leighton it’s always great seeing your farm pics! Glad to see you back at the market as well recently. Nippi in B&W. I think it’s about time to stop spamming the board…
I don’t see any spamming going on! Keep up the posts! I love them!

Thanks for the likes and positive comments on the roses.
I've just been told that part supply for the Z5 from Japan will take 4 to 6 weeks! I better keep learning the D500's quirks. What I miss mainly is the ability to use live view for long exposure which doesn't work on the D500 - got quite a few black screens
Sunset with the D500 + 28-45 4.5 Ai (1978) across the Knysna Estuary 28mm 1.6s f11 Nisi 4stop ND

This is an image from 2012 taken with the D200 and my 50mm H lens which I picked up that day. Ingrid was in Switzerland with her daughter and I shot it from within a yard or two from my previous pic 12 years later. I manipulated the image in Ps copying Scott Kelby's method of creating reflections out of nothing see from 1min 50s This turned a very ordinary image into a decent scorer in photo salons. As Scott says "Iknow it's cheating, but they all do it"
On yesterday's hike I came across some mariposa Lilies and Harebells. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a breeze and both of these wildflowers are very delicate on narrow stems, so even the slightest breeze will throw off the focus stack. For this one, I had to discard 2 of the 11 images so things would line up, so not quite razor sharp across the whole flower
Just to show a little of the harebell, here are two "slices" - one for the lower flower and one for the upper, There was too much movement to get enough images to stack to get the sharpness I wanted. But, I thought they were beautiful enough to share
Does anyone here own the Nikkor-N 35mm f/1.4 Auto?
I recently attached it to my Sony A7RII, but the photos look blurry and have a glow effect.
I'm not sure if I have a bad copy of the lens or if it's just a limitation of this old-school lens. DSC09985in by blurrist lump, on Flickr DSC09977in by blurrist lump, on Flickr DSC09968-1in by blurrist lump, on Flickr

Serge, didn’t get to comment, but that bath house a couple pages back was outstanding. Huss, same for your B&W film work, especially the light on that tree.
A couple Nippi test shots. Center crop at f/4 and corner at f/8 vs the K mount 85mm f/1.8, mostly out of curiosity. Edit, andded central crops at f/1.8 - f/2. And a couple regular shots from a recent morning.
Don't get obsessed Matt!, what is your conclusion?

A useless test on a 92 degree day.
I go back and forth on getting rid of the 300mm f2.8 ais. It performs great, and my impression is that it is a frog's hair sharper, and has equal bokeh to the 200mm f2.0 ai. It's 8 element 6 groups, 2500 grams, plus it looks just like the 200's 10 elements in 8 groups - 2400 grams. Both (all big Nikkors?) have a 122mm front element. However, every time I shoot with it - I change my mind - even though It was one third the cost of the 200. All that leaves is 13 feet versus 9 feet MFD, and once you get near MFD with either lens - The bokeh is amazing.
