First attempt with the Chamonix 45N-2. Incredibly light LF camera, lighter than even the Tachihara 4X5. The camera is made of teak and carbon fiber. Controls are somewhat less fidgety than the Tachihara but of course nothing like the Linhof.
I forgot the shutter release cable so had to flick the lever on the shutter with my finger, vibrations and all. Need a checklist while doing LF work

I think that lens is one I have wanted the most, but have never found in my price range.
Kevin, the best time to buy these lenses was in the 1990s. With people moving to AF film and getting rid of these 'obsolete' lenses. That was when my more unique SLR lenses were bought. I bought mine for $400 a long time ago, now prices are over $1,000 for a nice one. The 18mm 1:4 and 1:3.5 are excellent lenses. They will render very dark corners on early DSLRs, but on the Z cameras they are quite excellent. They can be found between $300 and $500.

Scott, the last dandelion shot is my pick as well. The one's where I stopped down a little got the background a little too busy for me.
First pics from a fun morning session before a morning meeting. First outing with the 25-50 in awhile. Which one appeals more?
Ray, both are nice but my preference is for the first image. Something about the warmer light, lower angle of view, and the way the steps cascade give it the edge for me. Nicely seen.

My first thought on those steps?? is that those would be a challenge for someone who's blind and using a cane. YIKES!

First I came across the crumpets, then the butter and syrup being poured on one. I am going to need something other than my regular drab healthy breakfast today
Laura,
That is definitely more a decorative element than functional steps. It leads nowhere in particular and the differential lawn level was created to allow for these “steps”. I suppose if you were visually impaired this element could be a challenge if you were just casually wondering around the park, but hopefully with careful navigation, the tactile feedback and color contrast would be sufficient for detection.

The SR-71 Blackbird is always fascinating to look at inside the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy museum near Washington DC. May have something to do with the 'hazy' dialogue Scott and I were having a couple days ago
