The images of this thread are and always have been fantastic! I too love the old manual focus lenses. I know several of you from the old MF forums and the Df. I'm still Flickr friends with several of you. I've been away for years now but recently I built a new PC for myself and bought a pair of old school D40X's. I'm keen to get back to shooting and sharing again.
I still have my F2 and Df. I have a nice set of K lenses with factory Ai rings still need 3 or 4 more lenses. Got me a couple of dirty cheap P&S D40X's...love that sensor...pita to use but worth it. Here is the snap of it all made with a D40X and 105/2.5K.

Love the Chevy! Please share more images and join in on the conversation. Lots of friendly folks on this thread with superb knowledge of these old lenses, not to mention the talent to use them. It is without a doubt the best thread on the internet about Nikon manual focus lenses.

This shot is from the Df and 35/2K. I love the 35 for cars and trucks and such.
Popular artifact at the Louvre, with a double (or triple?) selfie included. Z7 II, 5cm f1.4 S.C. (LTM version)
A great Egyptian historic piece Samy
Did you happen to notice the eyes of the Sitting Scribe??
An interesting observation is that they are glazed in such away as to be a little reflective, and they seem to be looking at you wherever you move to .... not creepy, Just someone back in the day went to a lot of trouble making that statue or image
Looks like you had a busy time using your camera and shoe-leather !! (The Louvre cannot be done in a day)

The Chevy is not mine but it is one of the more interesting rides I have seen in a awhile. I see a lot of neat rides because I do car upholstery. The truck is a great one. Tom A. of Rapidwinder fame once told me to use a 35 and crouch down when shooting cars. So that is what I generally do. BTW the softies will fit a Df perfectly.
Actually I may need 5 or 6 more lenses...factory Ai ringed K types...let me get back with you though...lol
Love the 85 shots Rafael...beautiful...jeezuz!
Hello SiMuMi...so how many cameras do you have bro? (please don't take this wrong...seems like I see you posting many snaps with a slew of cameras!)
James, you photograph of the flower is an eye catcher.
Glen, terrific photographs and color of the Arbutus. I had not seen this species of tree before. Which camera did you use?
Ray, nice winter capture Our neck of the woods is getting rain and wet snow today, nasty day.
The 5.8cm f/1.4 s a joy to use. The focus and aperture functions are silky smooth, the former probably compliments of the brass helicoid. Focusing the lens is easy as the focus peaking pops big time.
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, Serge. I used my Fuji X-T4 (and LensTurbo II focal reducer) for those images.

Welcome to this great thread, Jeff! That is some fine looking gear, well photographed. I look forward to seeing what more you will do with it.
Here are a few more IR images from autumn, 2022 from a nearby city park. The first two are from the 2.8 f/3.5 H, and the third is from the 55 f/1.2 SC, mounted on my converted Fuji X-T2 (with permanently mounted LensTurbo II focal reducer and dust seal).

At some point I got swept away by GAS. I have more than one handful of them but in my defense, in any one month I use them all.
This week I went to a museum about Dutch architects, called "the Amsterdam School". This architectural movement arose in the early 1900s as a counter-movement against the so-called neo-styles and the very bad housings for the working class. The style is inspired by shapes and forms from the Dutch Indies.
There a lot of buildings from this movement in Amsterdam (and in some other places in the Netherlands and Indonesia). The brickwork is totally different from other houses at that time (and nowadays).
The first is the front of the museum with a reconstructed/restored Postoffice from about 1915.
In the second image you can recognize the shape of the Prabanan, an ancient Hindu complex near Yogyakarta on Java.
The third is a public toilet.
All shot with a Nikkor-NC Auto 24/2.8 (this one is factory AI-d and chipped).

As Rafael says the 85mm f1.4 is an excellent lens for capturing beauty. I can't afford to hire beautiful models like he did, but these pumpkin inspired rolls Barb made are beautiful food - to me. D800 and the 85mm f1.4 wide open.
