My son donated his 3 year old watercooled motherboard to me. It runs silently. Radiator and fans not shown in this shot.
I added a stick of NVMe to hold the O.S.
Sits in a perspex faced case. Probably more apt in a teenager's bedroom but now adorns my study.
Super responsive and much better than my 10 year old rig
The first photo I edited in LR just had to be of the psychedelic setup.
Very nice build! I may just take some time to do some macro stuff (nothing illuminated on my build) but I'm cracking it open between Christmas and New Years to install an NVME as well. Might have to see if I can throw some interesting light on some stuff.
From what I've read I'm guessing that Reagan will likely go the way of Leighton and get an M1 MacBook. The chip does certainly seem impressive from what I've read.
Still working off the last outing when we had some rime ice. Still brown. D700 w/105 f2.5 AIS. I had the 105 on a really short tube at one point that morning, don't recall if this was on the tube or not.

Why did you show this?!! I haven't built a PC in years and don't want to fall down that rabbit hole again. (now googling watercooled motherboards)
I built a PC this year
Ryzen7 32g Ram
2 nvme drives,1 ssd
8g video card
Plenty fast but I only turn it on once a week because
I can't stand Windows
Been on Mac's for 12 years 5 year old Imac 5k now
Still using "Mojave" so my Lightroom 6 will work
but the PC has all those pretty colors
one day I will make myself like it but "I don't like change"
Reagan
Bought a camera
Fuji XT3 and an adapter
Still working on the Nikon

Colin
This is way cool, Colin. My desktop machine is falling apart now that I am having to use it for hours daily. In its defense it is 9 and a half years old. I try to sweat the electronics to the last drop to do my bit for the environment. If it still works it shall be used. Nevertheless it did make me a bit sad to wake up to my dead monitor yesterday morning. The new rush job I bought seems a bit rubbish for photo editing purposes. It's the last thing I expected to fail and I wasn't ready to splash out for a new one. My current machine was also a custom build, Thermaltake, Gigabyte, Intel, Transcend, Seagate, Nvidia. I had time then. Now even if I go that way, I'll probably just pick the components and have someone build it.
Well I can say the thread got my attention with all the snow! Really hate the stuff and that is why Florida is home.
Serge posted a comment on one of Samy's shot referencing a space launch. Last week we were at the beach and Canaveral was 18 miles away as the crow flies. Also went to Patrick Air Force Base and was surprised to learn it is now Patrick Space Force Base. It was re-designated only days before.
A night launc as seen from Cocoa Beach. 180ED using incredible ISO All hand held.
I had to step outside to break what was then 16 hours of no posts in this thread. It's slim pickings now have just about shot any and everything in this garden. Plus it's a balmy 32C outside. No fun.
That 55mm f/2.8 AI-s micro and Df. Kind of cooked the highlights on the first one. Sorry, roses. I'll do better.
Love all those photos of snow and frost. We don't get much of that here!
Ken, was that the Delta IV Heavy flying an NRO payload? I've been at Cape for numerous launches of F9/FH/Atlas V, but always wanted to see the Delta IV Heavy.

Alan I believe so. The rocket was huge and it seemed as if the elevator was on slow at lift off. It was carrying a undisclosed Top secret payload according to the press! It was a lot larger than the Falcon that Spacex launched.

I am really sorry to hear, Rafael. It hits closer and closer to the people that we know. Every day, I pray that my parents will be able to make it through this.
Very kind of you Chuong, let's cross our fingers and hope to come out on the other side.

Raphael, Robin and I send our sympathy to you and your family at the loss of your brother. Knowing he had a good life and the support a great family should make his memory take away from the pain of his passing.
I see he was from Florida and I'll post some Florida shots Robin and I took on our recent trip.
con permisso! Ve con Dios Jose Alphonso!
Robin and Ken, your sympathy is very valued. Thanks!
